My starting point is a drawer, bowl, or pot, which nearly everyone has at home, in which objects are put together that can’t seem to find a proper spot or place in the house, in my eyes a non-collection. D.m.v spiegelhuisjes, verschillende hoogtes in bankjes en kruimelpaden ontstaat er een niewe kijk in het park. Omdat blauw met zijn lage golfl engte het licht is dat er in de natuur het minst toe doet. DIT PROJECT IS EEN ONTWERP VAN JUDITH MONTENS EN BRUNO VERMEERSCH. Verwijderd. En Blauw! Met de keuze voor het servies grijp ik terug naar het dekken van de tafel, waarbij vroeger je rijkdom werd geëtaleerd. Borden met gouden randen, zilverven bestek, maar vooral de ‘center pièces’ , pronkstukken waarop sculpturaal je rijkdom werd uitgebeeld. Into the great wide open is een jaarlijks cultuur festival op Vlieland met muziek, beeldende kunst, film, uitdagende kinderactiviteiten en voldoende rust en ruimte. Voor Into the great wide open ontwerp ik een workshop voor kinderen. De Thorny devil, de Dombo octopus of de Springende kever, ken jij ze? For into the great wide open, I design a workshop for children.
