The president has signed the Child Care Development Block Grant Act of 2014 into law. This bill, which had strong bipartisan support, is the first re authorization of this bill since 1996. It assures statutory changes that will promote economic self-sufficiency for families by making child care more affordable and will improve the overall quality of early childhood education.
