Since it was established some 20 years ago by John Talbot Moorlands Farm Coarse Fisheries has developed into one of the best known combined match and pleasure fisheries in this country where the record for a five hour match currently stands at 263lbs 8ozs (set at peg 9 on July 26th 2014) and 293lbs 12ozs taken in an evening match. Several pleasure anglers are reported to have taken over 300lbs of fish in one sitting. Delivery of new fish - 3,000 F1s totalling 2100lbs.

On entering the site, anglers must read the rules and purchase fishing permits from the cafe - opening hours 8am weekdays and 7.30am weekends, if you arrive prior to opening hours you may start fishing but must purchase your ticket as soon as the cafe opens.
