The Mennonite Heritage Village was founded in 1992 to establish a historical Mennonite Village depicting the life and times of early settlers in the Swift Current area, and to develop appreciation for the contributions made to this country by Mennonite immigrants. To achieve this, we generate educational and recreational programs as well as collect, restore and maintain authentic artifacts depicting the historical era from the 1880s to the 1920s. To our dismay, the Government. Did not act, and postponed indefinitely any major repairs. Travellers on this road have provided many comments. August 31, 2009. I think I got whiplash this spring driving down highway #32 from Leader to Abbey. What a disgrace for the governments over time gone by to let this highway get into the shape it is presently. Work on the highway is being done at present. Over the last 50 years since I traveled down this so called highway it really has had alot of repairs on it. I'm wondering just how much money has been wasted trying to patch a highway that should have been built properly. June 2, 2009. August 17, 2008.
