We discussed which planets are hot and which are cold. We introduced the children to the idea of gases and how the planets orbit around the sun. Each child made a rocket to be able to travel into Space! We filled empty bottles with colored powder to make our rockets look awesome! The children were very excited to play with their rockets! Thursday, 23 April 2015. We spent this week learning all about Israel. We learnt about the country, the flag and the money. We looked at different places that are special in Israel like the Kotel and Dead Sea. We even learnt a few words in Hebrew: "Good Morning- Boker Tov", "Hello/Goodbye- Shalom" and "Thank you- Todah Rabbah". The children were introduced to a conscious knowledge of their sense with various experiments and discussions. The process involved all our sense: from seeing, smelling and touching the ingredients; the sound of the Kitchen Aid and of course the tasting of both the dough and finished product. Hope you have all had a good week, I certainly have enjoyed my first week at JMP! This week we spent getting to know each other and we also learnt all about me! We spent time looking at ourselves in the mirror and doing art as to what we see. We have been enjoying working in the Cultural area learning about the different plants and land and water forms.

Friday, 26 June 2015. Grace and Courtesy Week. This week we learnt all about manners and behaving in the right ways. We discussed saying 'please and thank you' with the children. We also discussed the correct way of dealing with situations such a blowing noses, going to the bathroom and cleaning up after themselves.
