The adventures of me and my boat. And today we have China, France and Italy, under a cloudy sky. On a sidenote, I would like to register a complaint. How can Team Artemis not be a women’s team? I have a boat. Sometimes, she tries to kill me, but I know its only because she loves me. My boat is a 1968 Coronado 25, which means she’s older than me and has become a “classic beauty.”. Wednesday, August 02, 2006. The sixth in a series about murder, dot-com style. IMurder: Chapter Six: Squeeze Toy. I'll be just a minute, we need to crack open some new tequila." Mac said, poking his head into the office he shared with Jelly and another developer. Their office was a converted Victorian, and this room used to be the dining room. It had started as a joke in the office, taking shots here and there, and now most visitors brought a bottle to celebrate something or other. Mike, Sosa, and her wa...

Modest Goddess: June 2006
http://modestgoddess.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Sucking the marrow out of life. Thursday, June 29, 2006. I'm out another nanny. Has he not been getting a bath two nights a week for the last month and a half? Anyway, Mom says, "Why don't you get the bath ready and I'll play with Little Big Man? Mom could hardly contain the glee in her voice when she called me at work to relate this tale. To be clear, it wasn't over the apparent negligence, but because she had such a juicy story to tell. So nanny-hunting we go. Friday, June 23, 2006. If it wasn't for my...

Sucking the marrow out of life. Thursday, February 26, 2009. Of all the ways that infertility could have exploded on the national scene, it seems incredibly unlikely that it would be through a woman who appears not to have actually been infertile. Nadya Suleman's story is not that of a typical IVF patient who struggles to bear one child, but about someone who had 14 - which appears to us IVF veterans way more than her fair share. No, thank you. Would I have gotten Little Big Man? IVF veterans fear that S...

The adventures of me and my boat. The IS’s competition? While visiting my parents recently, I helped them clean their basement, and came across a stack of old drawings I did when I was 6 years old (they were dated). This is what I kept drawing at age 6. Not princesses, not horses, not rainbows, I drew boats. Guess I haven’t changed much! Hopefully, I’ve learned a thing or two about marine architecture. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. The adventures of me and my boat. No photos to share (I couldn’t find my camera in the sidepocket of my backpack grrr.) but here’s a late report from Sunday at the last day of the America’s Cup pre-series in SF for August, which I went and watched live from shore. We got to watch the safety boat go pick him up – it only took them about 30 seconds to get to him, so no biggie. I have a boat. Sometimes, she tries to kill me, but I know its only because she loves me. More Good News for Optimists. Who is star...

Sailin’ with Skye « BoatGirl'sIndianSummer

The adventures of me and my boat. Sailin’ with Skye. Out on the bay. We got a brief distant glimpse of some of the America’s Cup boats running through their paces, but in general just sailed and talked and looked at stuff. I felt a little bad that younger brother Quinn doesn’t seem to be the natural that Skye is, as the rocking of the boat put him to sleep. However, he seemed to enjoy his nap in the V-berth and Cara was happy that he had his first nap all summer. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Who is starin...

The adventures of me and my boat. I passed these on my morning commute yesterday (biking along the Embarcadero). Turns out, there’s a youth America’s Cup in addition to the adult, although not advertised like the adult version. These boats look like so much fun. And they look a little sturdier than the adult versions. Just like in the main event, there are no female sailors (is it a rule or something? Well, of course, everyone knows that girls don’t like boats. More Good News for Optimists.
