http://millersbuildahouse.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 25, 2013. Love that dirty water. The end of this week (only 7 weeks since we broke ground). Saw more electric and plumbing run inside the house. I actually made decisions on switch, outlet and light locations and I think it is turning out well! And, both of the older boys got to drive the skid steer. Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Or Centered to room? As you can see by the pictures, the electricians and plumber have arrived and have drilled holes in everything! The windows arrived and were ...

The Caslers: School reflections
http://caslers.blogspot.com/2015/06/school-reflections.html
Tuesday, June 23, 2015. On the chalkboard heading into school one recent morning. For ages I've been meaning to put together a post on how school has gone for the boys this year. We're fast approaching their final day (July 3rd), so I thought I'd better get down my reflections before we leave and the memories begin to fade. Last September, Jesse and I sent the boys off for their first day of school with cautious optimism (okay, okay.it was closer to white-knuckled anxiety! See post here.). When we drop h...

http://caslers.blogspot.com/2015/05/0-look-whos-home.html
Tuesday, May 19, 2015. 0 Look who's home! After nearly 24 hours of travel, Jesse returned to us this afternoon. I misled the boys about his arrival time by an hour or so, and that meant Jesse was able to surprise them at school pick-up time. Their faces were priceless! So glad he is home with you! But we will miss the daily countdowns! May 20, 2015 at 9:17 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Get posts by email:. 0 Look whos home! The final vacances — part two. The Caslers: October 2014
http://caslers.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 27, 2014. Part of Chinon fortress, appearing rather magical, overlooking the beautiful town and the river Vienne. Jesse took a day off on Wednesday so we could enjoy a family day trip with his parents to the historic city of Chinon. Jim and Tillie had liked the look of it in a guidebook. They chose well! In a very sweet gesture (both literal and figurative! William asked each of us to choose two as our dessert for our picnic lunch. Here William is passing Mama Cas her choice. After lunch,...

The Caslers: Money matters
http://caslers.blogspot.com/2015/08/money-matters.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Several times we’ve been asked how we funded / afforded / managed such a grand adventure as we've had this past year, so I've decided to do a post for those inquiring minds. The unexpected reality (surprising even to us! Let me see…other expenses…. We had visa fees both before leaving America and upon arriving in France, plus there were associated mailing costs and the expense of driving to the French embassy in Washington, DC a year ago. It turns out that our documentation w...

Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Wow- realizing I haven't posted in over a week!
