Live and learn with me in the warm heart of Africa. Laquo; My host family. Team Malawi JF retreat. Popular youth greeting here in Lilongwe). I just had a few extra minutes to be on the Internet here since some meetings were implicitly cancelled, so I wanted to share an amusing experience. The other week I had a chance to meet Ester, who is the sister to my host father, Leonard. I was super excited, and my teeth shined through a big arrogant smile. But things just go downhill from there. Explore posts in ...

Live and learn with me in the warm heart of Africa. Laquo; A bit on my placement. A LOT has happened since I last posted! I had some requests for an example of proverbs used in CADECO’s organizational consultancy workOne recites like this, When elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers. First night surprise | Wayne in Malawi
https://wayneinmalawi.wordpress.com/2007/05/12/first-night-surprise
Live and learn with me in the warm heart of Africa. Laquo; I’ve arrived! A bit on my placement. It turns out I could not go to Blantyre as told at one point. It makes sense from a point of view of spending time wisely, though I’m disappointed to miss seeing Blantyre as I hear is very different from Lilongwe. Expecting ambiguity and changes in plans will be key in Malawi. We returned to Mabuya camp after a warm welcome and I was glad to hit the sack for a good night’s rest. Or link to this permanent URL.
