Friday, July 29, 2011. Having seen this info-mercial,. My 12yo decided it was something worth purchasing. Not wanting to dampen his enthusiasm for the project, but definitely NOT buying some crap off a tv ad, I decided to show him a fun contraption already in our kitchen that would make the exact same thing- the ice cream maker! Totally embarrassing that we haven't pulled it out yet this summer! He wanted to try the chocolate milk flavor first (we've experimented with kool-aid and gatorade- both yummy!

We got the pantry in that next week, and my sweet mom helped me put the place back together, working from dawn to midnight that entire week! Thursday, June 2, 2011. This was one of those futuristic juvi-fics that I finished in two days. It was riveting, exciting, and thoroughly suspenseful. Perfect summer reading if you don't have anything else to do . . . mostly because I didn't get anything accomplished during those two days! Sunday, May 29, 2011. Just finished this- it reminded me of my first infatuation with the Grisham books, which we read religiously for one summer and annually every February after that. For a long time, the new Grisham novel was Dave's Valentine's Day present, since that's right when they were released. : ) But I digress . . . I really liked this one! Sunday, April 10, 2011. Things I love about Spring . . . 1 New budding leaves on the trees. 2 The beginning of baseball season . . . I'm a little addicted, and with my husband heavily involved in the league, I've come to love it! The uniforms, the bat bags, breaking in new mitts, staring down a batter from the pitcher's mound, skipping off to first base at your first t-ball practice . . . (that's for the girls, the boys pretty much barrel down the line). 5 Spring colors- pastels, brights, happiness.
