Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Risk/Reward Of Floating Is Not Worth It. I heard more than a few Loan Officers. Today say the market rallied and they are waiting to lock. I would be very cautious of this. The Dow dropped 398 points today and the 10YR Treasury in turn dipped to 1.96%. What is important to note is the Mortgage Backed Security's market did not follow in lock step. Meaning mortgage rates did not move down much if at all today.
