Morton Fox's journal

Tuesday, January 30th, 2018. 16 years ago, I lived in Northern New Jersey and I used to travel very far from home because at the time, geocaches were few and far between. One of those overnight trips brought me to Odenton, south of Baltimore, and to Patuxent Ponds Park. Anyway, that was a great revisit and it's neat how I remember the area just because of a thrilling experience. Maybe I'll be back again in another 16 years, if not sooner, for a different game. Northeast Baltimore, Pottstown/Reading: mortonfox

https://mortonfox.livejournal.com/899752.html

Northeast Baltimore, Pottstown/Reading. Started Saturday with some geocaches around Havre de Grace, near the Concord Point Lighthouse. Then we made our way towards northeast Baltimore, via Edgewood and Joppa. There was a church fair going on right around "Cache to Eagle #11 - BAC, Harford District" but they knew about the geocache. As a bonus, there were sno-cones. Afterwards. Not too many geocaches come with refreshments. :). The other noteworthy site was an old (half of a) bell. Wine and Dine (Maryland).

Verizon Fallen Cable Kafkaesque Adventures, Northeast Baltimore: mortonfox

https://mortonfox.livejournal.com/898638.html

Verizon Fallen Cable Kafkaesque Adventures, Northeast Baltimore. Didn't go out on Saturday, until that night, because the weather looked bad, with flood warnings and all the trimmings. Also, I had an appointment with Verizon to get a fallen cable removed from my backyard. No Verizon field tech showed up on Saturday because it's Verizon. They didn't keep an appointment 6 years ago when I tried to order DSL, so why would they start keeping appointments now? They helped a lot at finding some of those urban ...

Anthrocon 2015: mortonfox

https://mortonfox.livejournal.com/899250.html

This past weekend was my trip to Pittsburgh for Anthrocon. As usual though, I went a day early and drove overnight Tuesday/Wednesday to do some geocaching along the way. However, other than a few around Breezewood, Bedford and Donegal, most of the caches I got were around Greensburg, where I saw giant flowers. The area is rather hilly, which makes for some nice views. From even as mundane a location as a Walmart parking lot. As I was parading I held out one paw and I must say I've never high-fived so man...

York XI - Hanover Finally, York XII, Lancaster LXXI, and the bad brake: mortonfox

https://mortonfox.livejournal.com/897386.html

York XI - Hanover Finally, York XII, Lancaster LXXI, and the bad brake. It was everything I expected. The HGT series of caches is the Hanover Geo Trail. It's placed in a style similar to the Spring Grove GeoTour and highlights historic and other notable sites around Hanover. I got most of those caches in a day, although there are still enough for another trip out to southwest York County. The cache was actually hidden in his. uhh. no-no spot. :) ), bronze kids and dog sculpture. 1 Hot Potato (Maryland).

Chester/Montgomery, York, LVG GEM: mortonfox

https://mortonfox.livejournal.com/898918.html

Chester/Montgomery, York, LVG GEM. The rest of the day was a round-up of various smaller batches of caches around Phoenixville, Trappe, Collegeville, and Limerick. It is used for flood control, so it is normally dry unless there is heavy rain. On the way home, there were 4th of July fireworks visible from the US-30 bridge over the Susquehanna River. It seemed like every town along the way had a display like that too. So Much Potential (Pennsylvania). On the Edge of What Used to Be (Pennsylvania). If you ...

Hurricane - Tabbiefox

http://tabbiefox.livejournal.com/15643.html

Home of a c@fox. Ok, so we had a little hurricane right now. it tore down the roof of a building next to mine. it was just being reconstructed and it was an apparent fault of the company responcible. However, the result is - 12 destroyed cars. My car was just 1 car away from the disaster, it survived with just a scratch. However if I was standing on my USUAL place, I could forget about. well. pretty much all the plans. I had a huge luck this evening. Im still shocked. Thanks God. See you in a few weeks!

Subculture Project - earlyadopter j. Nov 13th, 2009 09:43 am. At Parsons where I teach web design and an "image lab" class the freshman students all have to do research on a subculture of their choice and take photos, do interviews and create a beautifully designed brochure-type of thing - Anyone interested in helping her? 2009-11-13 02:55 pm (UTC). I wouldn't mind helping out, but I am not sure how that would work long distance. 2009-11-13 07:52 pm (UTC). I would but I'm a bit out of the way now.

Sit a while, take a load off, and listen to my story. Nighteyes in the Midnight Moon. Oct 29th, 2009 at 6:19 PM. Really noticed 7's awesomeness when installing it today on my friend's computer (which was mine originally) and always had 'fun' trying to get all the device drivers installed and working correctly. I had it plugged into my LCD via HDMI cable, and nearly jumped out of my seat when it made noise booting up after the fact. I didn't have any audio cables plugged in so I was like WTF? 3 comments L...
