Thursday, June 12, 2014. The Red String of Fate brought me a Japanese movie this morning. On my iPad while even the dog has gone back to bed. However, whatever pragmatic reasons I had for starting to watch " Wool, 100. They went by the wayside as I got caught up in elements of the story, some of which are told only through images (twins, but one is in Western dress, eating Western breakfast, the other, Eastern dress, eating traditional Japanese breakfast.). The red string of fate is probably familiar to ...

Wednesday, May 26, 2010. The men of Women's Art History. Steiglitz: old, probably dirty old man, big time sexist. Diego Rivera: old, fat, drunk, philanderer - he slept with her sister! The woman who sold folk art to Rockefeller for Colonial Williamsburg, curated the art of Rockefeller Center, and who also dealt Jacob Lawrence when no one dealt in art by black Americans, among other things.) But we also in this week address Gala, the front half of Gala Dali: guess who she married? We make money not art.

Friday, March 18, 2011. Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Anyway, that's my plan. Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Last night, on Pinterest, I read the number 2 best practice for a blogger was consistent posting. Well, we know I fail miserably at that, but over the past week or so a lot has been pushing me closer and closer to blogging again. We can thank the internet, but also the fact that school started (as it tends to do! And that's always kind of a kickstart into thinking bigger thoughts than, "What's for dinner? The bands, and t...

sharpandpointedobjects: Sestina project
http://sharpandpointedobjects.blogspot.com/2014/03/sestina-project.html
Saturday, March 8, 2014. A couple months ago, my good friend Lynn Kilpatrick. Had a sestina published in The Incredible Sestina Anthology. Edited by Daniel Nester, a Write Bloody Book.) Her sestina is called "Francis Bacon Sestina" and was inspired by a quote about his own painting, from Francis Bacon. On my notes to myself because, maybe time isn't yellow? Color may also be determined by my media. There's work to be done, here, surely. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget.

Tuesday, 1 May 2012. SIRF Carnival Olympic themed sketches. I swim like an artistic brick but have, strangely, been given the theme of 'in the water' for this years Olympic themed costume fest. I've attempted to take the sport out of sport as much as possible. Here is my selection of unsportsmanlike sketches, I'm hoping that adding goggles and swimming hats to each costume will save me. I'm also going to be making a big structure all about synchronised swimming. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
