Attempting to go to war with Iran (and its 450,000-man army) despite a lack of congressional authorization in the hopes of splintering the Middle East into sectarian micro-states to alleviate Israel's fears of a nuclear attack and create stability on top of all that oil seems like a great way to spend another few hundred billion dollars and tens of thousands of lives.
