Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Project #2 Of Jane LaFazio's On-Line Workshop. Our assignment was to create a sketch at a coffee house. I found Lux Coffee Bar in Phoenix. Very understated place to say the least.an arty hangout atmosphere. Great muffin and cappuccino! Really enjoyed the experience. I think I am still putting too much into the picture. Thursday, December 30, 2010. Journal Designs For Loose Pages. I am not used to sketching quickly or drawing with great abandon so I still like to have an escape route if I don't like what I've done. Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Italy Adventure, Umbria, Italy 2010. The journal is sewn with exposed double raised cords and kettle stitches at each end. An extra strip of thin bookboard is glued to the spine edge of the front and back covers as a grip which makes the journal easier to grab when removing and placing into whatever I am carrying it in. Sunday, January 22, 2012. Arizona Herpetological Society, January 21, 2012. A photo was on display in the classroom of what can happen when bitten by a venomous snake. This image was of a bit finger on day six. Fortunately and amazingly this person's finger healed with medical treatment but obviously was never the same. Here are sheded snake skins removed while cleaning the snakes' enclosures. And there were other animals besides snakes at the herpetological society. And are these tortoises well fed!
