I meant to keep it more current, honestly I did, but … clearly I did not. And you guys, a lot has happened in the past year (YEAR? Remember how—when I first began writing for a travel company—I sensibly noted that didn’t necessarily mean I’d suddenly morph into some jet-setting world traveler? In June of 2014, I traveled to Japan with my sister. And there is more to come!

Thoughts from a stay-at-home mom. Powered by LiveJournal.com. Today is my dad's 90th birthday. He will also be dead 10 years this June. Some people like to visit loved-ones who have passed at the grave site, but that doesn't quite work for me since I don't live in NY anymore. Instead I visit the zoo. My dad was my first art teacher. The first lesson was drawing cartoon animals (Snoopy and Mickey Mouse). He shared his love of reading with me. My dad taught me to build and fix things. Love you, Lady. :).

In the end, sense (and the fact that my foot is the size of a football) won out. As you can see, I have made a good job of it:. It has turned a nice shade of purple since this morning, too.
