Cello Choir is a ‘Go’ – Cello With Love
https://mostlycello.wordpress.com/2015/10/28/cello-choir-is-a-go
Learning the Cello as an Adult. October 28, 2015. Cello Choir is a ‘Go’. I found out last night at String Ensemble that we have enough cellists for the new Conservatory Cello Choir to start. We have six people, everyone is a fairly experienced cellist so that should mean that we will have great fun together. First practice is on November 6th. Looking forward to it! I also note that the Boston Cello Quartet is now offering a cello choir course at the Boston Conservatory! And tagged cello choir. Cape Cod C...

Learning the Cello as an Adult. January 1, 2016. We did do a partial program at the Christmas Concert at the conservatory, so at least we did work up a few pieces for performance, which was good. Tchaikovsky Competition – Cello With Love
https://mostlycello.wordpress.com/2015/07/24/tchaikovsky-competition
Learning the Cello as an Adult. July 24, 2015. In the piano competition I thought George Li should have placed even higher. His expression and touch on the keys was amazing. I did notice how few female entrants there were and how those that did compete did not do well in the competition. Here in the eastern US cello is very popular and there are lots and lots of female cellists. The cello competition (and the others as well) seemed very male centered. I did wonder about that. Ensemble practicing →. Bosto...

New England Arts and Crafts. About Averill Mountain Crafts. March 30, 2016. Circular sweater ready for joining at the underarms. March 23, 2016. Using up Odds and Ends. My idea for a striped sweater is taking shape. And the biggest plus is that I’m using up small amounts of left over handspun yarn that is just too nice to throw away (but not enough for a big project). Of course, small amounts get used up when I knit hats, but this project is a way to feature some lovely leftovers! March 15, 2016. Monday ...

New England Arts and Crafts. About Averill Mountain Crafts. April 22, 2015. It’s a gradual process…. I’m continuing to catch up with my stash of unspun fiber. I have a pound of blue-green merino top that I am working on right now. I am almost done spinning the singles; the plying into yarn should go quickly after that. I continue to love my Schacht spinning wheel which spins beautifully after many, many years of use. I separate pieces of the roving into thinner strands for easier spinning. March 30, 2016.

How it all Started. An interest in Celtic knotwork and Celtic heritage spurred me to paint, then design this artwork. A few colleagues commisioned me to paint and design some boxes as gifts,. And even a couple tattoos. I realized that there was a demand for less costly burial urns, for both people and pets. I choose to work with wood because it has a warm and more natural feel to me than the marble or stone urns that I have seen. At this time,. Please with any inquiries. Artist Profile and Contact.
