mlp | All Things Foo

http://mostlyfoo.org/tag/mlp

Rambling, Rants and Profanity. Based on reading this epic Trans Girl Next Door strip from 5 months ago. I just kind of wan want to say that yeah, I’ve been there and done that, sometimes things just conspire to trip dysphoria from seemingly minor and non-existent causes, and yeah, that sort of kills the mood for whatever you’re doing. The rest of the comic is also totally worth reading :). This entry was posted in posts. November 8, 2015. Webcomic entitled #452 Kitchen Table Poly. My partner is interested.

http://mostlyfoo.org/2015/02/22/so-last-weeks-exciting-visits-to-the-big-smoke

Rambling, Rants and Profanity. So last weeks exciting visits to The Big Smoke. I did however manage to finish the end of Hungry Ghost. Which was pretty good, like the first book it presented some slightly iffy points totally straight faced at first, and then later slowly and subtly indicated their 2 dimensional nature, which was nicely done, however the only nice male werewolves we meet are a pack of gay hustlers? The squirrels were probably my favourite part of the day :). This entry was posted in posts.

Making a Go Board | All Things Foo

Rambling, Rants and Profanity. Making a Go Board. So I occasionally play Go. I followed the dimensions and guides in places like Sensei’s LIbrary: Making Your Own Equipment. Which is all kinds of interesting, and combined it with David’s Homemade Go Board Instructions. The process of making it and results of which can seen here, in this thar flickr album. And here’s a picture of the end of the first game I played on it:. Things I’d change next time? This entry was posted in posts. May 10, 2015.

Rambling, Rants and Profanity. Secure Facility 7: What did we learn? So with technical posts discussing what was done and how it was done now out of the way for future referencing by myself and other people playing with tech, what I wanted to write to cap things off was to ask the question: What did we learn? Rambling, Rants and Profanity. Delayed Games means delayed squee. Yeah so basically I was expecting to be writing more about things I’d been preparing for the upcoming Room 13 game Secure Facility Seven. At the minute but … yeah, well due to the epic weather that descended upon Lancaster that kind of fell by the wayside. This entry was posted in posts. December 18, 2015. I don’t really have a point or a direction of this, but I felt I needed to talk about it. This entry was posted in posts. Hopefully the...

From Paper to Practical – The Scribblings of a Lentil

The Scribblings of a Lentil. Thoughts on life as a writer, LARPer and carer. The Hero Who Cannot Be Kept Down. May 19, 2015. From Paper to Practical. Written 22nd March 2015. That was the idea, anyway. We started working on this LARP last summer and I came up with the initial idea at the start of this year. The fact that this is my first entry probably tells you enough about how much I have going on at the moment! 8211; How quick do we want to throw the threat out there? The Scribblings of a Lentil. Thoughts on life as a writer, LARPer and carer. The Hero Who Cannot Be Kept Down. February 3, 2015. I’m experiencing two things tonight. 8211; it’s sort of a ridiculous way of looking at things, but so often my brain is fogged and concentration and focus is so elusive that just being sharp and alive and awake is its own kind of addictive. I don’t want to try and sleep because I don’t know when I’ll get this feeling again. Oh, the second thing I’m experiencing? If I wrote a le...

The Scribblings of a Lentil. Thoughts on life as a writer, LARPer and carer. The Hero Who Cannot Be Kept Down. In the UK, the Court of London is the most powerful, although they only meet once every ten years. They rule the traditional way, with a Prince at the top, and the Prince’s word is law. Other Courts, younger and newer, try more modern distribution of power – democracy, or ruling councils and the like. Some work better than others. 10 ways to drive your refs crazy in downtimes pdf. The Scribblings of a Lentil. Thoughts on life as a writer, LARPer and carer. The Hero Who Cannot Be Kept Down. February 9, 2014. I’m more than a little frustrated by the fact it seems like every post I make at the moment is about how I’m struggling to catch up. I suppose the bit I’m struggling with at the moment is when that then interacts with illness and disability. And yet I’m writing this post, aren’t I? Definitely need to make a GP appointment. This isn’t a helpful situation. Until April →. 🙂 I jus...

The Scribblings of a Lentil. Thoughts on life as a writer, LARPer and carer. The Hero Who Cannot Be Kept Down. May 21, 2015. One of the things I missed the most about being away from the internet was the lack of music. That is a feeling that I know or have, or that makes me think of a character or an entire story. That there. Yes. It’s in breathing and taste. I’m not a terrible singer. I can mostly stay in tune – *mostly* – and easier if I have music or something else to tune myself...May 19, 2015. That ...

The Scribblings of a Lentil. Thoughts on life as a writer, LARPer and carer. The Hero Who Cannot Be Kept Down. 8216;Humire’ is a tongue-in-cheek working title for a long-term project I started for NaNoWriMo 2009. It was meant as a silly, throwaway idea just written for fun, and while I’m still writing it for fun I am treating it a bit more seriously now. Come February 2014, this goal had to be put on a temporary hiatus to make space for reffing a huge weekend event, preparing to play in another and continuing to ref a third. Mostly Food | A site about culinary (mis)adventures

A site about culinary (mis)adventures. Rosemary olive oil cake. April 3, 2016. Every once in a while I read a book that makes me go, Dang, I want to be able to write like this author does as economically, as unpredictably, as gracefully. It tends not to matter so much what the content is, and in fact, the last few writers who’ve affected me this way have been Michael Ondaatje, Rachel Cusk, and Tamar Adler. My dear friend Madeleine gave me Tamar Adler. An Everlasting Meal: Cooking with Economy and Grace.
