That is how long I lasted today. Over the last week I had an event for work which took me away from my kids. I run my own business, this is my busy season, it will bring in a bit of money, but nothing like working full time does. While I was away from my kids I missed them like nothing else. I decided to keep them home today, to spend some quality time with them instead of sending them to daycare. I made it to noon before I started to get frustrated and felt like a horrible mother. Kids drive me nuts.

As much as I hate to admit it, I am a terrible stay at home mom. I’m still dealing with the shame of being fired. This is a small community, while I don’t know what the “official word” is on my being fired, people talk and speculate and if they don’t have a clue they blatantly make it up. Another reason that small towns suck. If there was ever a time when I wanted to run away, it’s now. Soooooo trapped. How horrible am I to say that, to feel trapped being at home taking care of my kids? Stay at home mom.
