Thursday, February 26, 2015. 6 cups really warm water. 190; cups sugar. 2 heaping cups of wheat flour and a little white flour. Mix above ingredients and let soak for about 15 minutes then add. Add white flour until dough pulls away from the sides of bowl. Let rise for 45 minutes. Mix and put into 5 greased loaf pans. Let rise until big and fluffy (45-50 minutes). Thursday, February 26, 2015. Mary's 100% Whole Wheat Bread. 6 cups hot water. 7 cups whole wheat flour (white wheat works best). 189; cup sugar. Mix and let sit for 15 minutes. 2/3 cup shortening (or vegetable oil). Mix and then add enough flour until it is just a little too sticky for kneading. Let rise 30-40 minutes. Monday, March 28, 2011. Melvin's Stovetop Dutch-oven Potatoes. 1/2-1 lb. hamburger. 2-4 carrots (if desired). 1/4-1/2 cup grated (or sliced) cheese. Crumble hamburger across the bottem of large pot and heat with butter. Add sliced onions, potatoes, and carrots (shake salt and pepper over each layer.) Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes. Saturday, November 19, 2011. Oreo Cool Whip Dessert. 1 pkg finely crushed oreos (save 1/4 c. for topping). 1/2 c butter (usually only "need" 1/4 c.). Mix these together and press into the bottom of an 8x13 pan. 8 oz cream cheese. 1/4 c powdered sugar. 4 oz Cool Whip (from a 12 oz. container). Blend together and layer on top of the oreo crumb crust. The rest of the cool whip (8 oz.). Sprinkle the remaining oreo crumbs on top and bon a petit! Or refrigerate until ready to eat it. Thursday, September 22, 2011. Naughty Nancy's Zucchini Chocolate Cake. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 1 3/4 cup sugar. 2 1/2 cups flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. Heaping 1/2 teaspoon salt. 3-4 cups shredded zucchini. Mix normal cake way, adding ingredients in order. Beat well. Pour into a greased jellyroll/cookie sheet pan. Sprinkle the following on top (omitting or adding per your preference). 1 cup chocolate chips (can use a combination of flavors- mint is good as well!
