mothering in grace: chicken & bacon wild rice soup~
http://motheringingrace.blogspot.com/2013/01/chicken-bacon-wild-rice-soup.html
Able is God to make all grace abound. Chicken and bacon wild rice soup. Can you say yummy? Wow, this is amazing. It's the first time I've made it and I significantly tweaked the recipe I had, so I'm making it my own. :). If using homemade stock, add 1tsp of Better Than Boullion or an equivalent. 1/2c uncooked wild rice. 1/2c green onions finely chopped. 1/2c chopped or diced carrots. 2 stalks diced celery. 3/4c brown rice flour or any gluten free equivalent. 1/2c cooked chicken or turkey. No; a womanR...
mothering in grace: pondering in my heart~
http://motheringingrace.blogspot.com/2007/11/pondering-in-my-heart.html
Able is God to make all grace abound. Pondering in my heart. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.". I've mentioned before how my children seem to be more affectionate with me at church, although I've noticed it when we watch movies together or read as well, so I think it is really more of a "mom is sitting down, let's grab her" kind of thing, not specifically related to church. But that is where I tend to notice it most. Labels: blessing your children. This entry was so ...
mothering in grace: why i homeschool, part one~the Biblical basis for homeschooling~
http://motheringingrace.blogspot.com/2007/07/why-i-homeschool-part-one.html
Able is God to make all grace abound. Why i homeschool, part one the Biblical basis for homeschooling. I will quote parts of it. 1 To whom does God give (prescribe) the responsibility for and authority over the teaching, training, and indoctrination of children? 2 Does God prescribe for His people to willfully put themselves or their children under the tutelage of pagans or nonbelievers? Or, does He forbid this? Consider, for example the following scriptures: Deuteronomy 6:6-9, Psalm 1:1-2,. Just do it&#...
mothering in grace: why i homeschool, part two~ are our children called to be salt and light?
http://motheringingrace.blogspot.com/2007/07/why-i-homeschool-part-two-are-our.html
Able is God to make all grace abound. Why i homeschool, part two are our children called to be salt and light? As I referenced in my earlier post, why i homeschool, part one the Biblical basis for homeschooling. I came across an article written by Dr. Brian D. Ray, Ph. D that sums up quite well why I feel so passionate about homeschooling. I don't think so, and again, I am going to quote from Dr. Ray's article. What about not putting a stumbling block before little ones? How many stumbling blocks are we ...
mothering in grace: how to be lazy and save money(aka) how to make homemade chicken broth~
http://motheringingrace.blogspot.com/2010/06/how-to-be-lazy-and-save-money-aka-how.html
Able is God to make all grace abound. How to be lazy and save money. Aka) how to make homemade chicken broth. Anyway, I was always intimidated of making homemade chicken broth. It just seemed a little too much. Right up there with grinding my own wheat and canning my own vegetables that I had grown in my very own garden. I'm busy. Raising children and homeschooling, people, what do you think I am, Super Mom? I found out I could justify doing it the lazy way. Wa la Homemade, nutritious chicken broth.

Sunday, April 7, 2013. Zoe is SIX. Yes, 6! Each year, the "Birthday Balloon Fairy" puts the exact number of balloons on your bed for ever how old you're turning the next day. Zoe knows that I am the Birthday Balloon Fairy and LOVES this birthday tradition that we have! Oh my Oh my. Oh my. I really cannot fathom that six years have passed by since Zoe was born. It's simply unbelievable. I say these words pretty much everyday. Ha. How do the days pass by so quickly? So hard to believe! She loves to read!

Able is God to make all grace abound. The best sweet potato fries ever, i promise. Have you been to Outback and had their sweet potato fries? Oh yes, they are divine. Liquid coconut oil - I imagine any oil would work. Powdered stevia or brown sugar - I've used both and my kids can't tell a difference, and they are not stevia lovers. Preheat oven to 450 and line your baking sheet with foil. Peel your sweet potatos, or not, and slice into whatever thickness of fries you prefer. Bake in oven for approximate...

This post was originally posted on my personal blog three years ago. At the time I was running an in-home daycare and my house was always full of kids!
