I woke up (thinking) like this. The Kindle club is a social reading group that I’ve made up to justify why I’m reading teen literature. Of course, if you’re interested in joining, consider yourself family. But I make no promises that I won’t Skype you at odd times of the day or evening and want your opinion about which male character the undeserving female in the book should choose. Join at your own risk. And Minnesota. We’d like to expand to the east coast if you’re there. Girl at the end of the world.

3 Russell Moose: The only Advice I have if you want to Homeschool
http://3russellmooses.blogspot.com/2010/10/only-advice-i-have-if-you-want-to.html
Adventures with the Russell Clan. Thursday, October 21, 2010. The only Advice I have if you want to Homeschool. When you are ready to throw in the towel, when you feel like a disciplinarian instead of a teacher; when book learning has been shelved because a lack of common respect and manners rules the day, remember:. In the end, it is not about math or reading or history or science. It is not about test scores. Diplomas, or acceptance letters. Those things will come. Therefore, die to yourself daily.

3 Russell Moose: Lovely
http://3russellmooses.blogspot.com/2011/03/my-oldest-friend-as-in-i-met-her-in-1st.html
Adventures with the Russell Clan. Wednesday, March 23, 2011. My oldest friend (as in I met her in 1st grade, not as in she's 103) wrote a great post on discipline- and overall the necessity for it. She recognized the developmentally appropriate behavior of her 2 year old, which she called limit testing- more commonly known as "No, NO, no, NO, Mommy, NOOOO! She recommended flogging with a wet newspaper. I heartily cried out AMEN, sister! I told him he clearly does not have kids;. After many warnings over ...

3 Russell Moose: Just a Day.
http://3russellmooses.blogspot.com/2012/10/just-day.html
Adventures with the Russell Clan. Monday, October 1, 2012. No, I am probably not back to blogging on a regular basis. But I started blogging to have a record of our days as a family, and this is one to blog about. I think I will run it down by the hour. 7:50 am. I woke up. Super late. Because I have a week off of the gym. And I was awake from 2:30-4:00 am for no reason. Waking up late isn't a great way to start a day. 10:20 am. Back to school, and still moving along. Language Arts done. 11:45 am. Lun...

3 Russell Moose: Mother Letters
http://3russellmooses.blogspot.com/2012/03/mother-letters.html
Adventures with the Russell Clan. Tuesday, March 13, 2012. I don't know exactly what I wrote, but the gist of it was how quickly the opportunity to be a mother could have been lost to me. If you don't know, I spent the first 14 hours after the birth of my first child unconscious. There is one picture of me holding her, but I don't remember that moment, nor any of the visitors, nor the first time I nursed her. My blood loss was great, and 2 hours of stitching didn't staunch it. Fast forward to a couple mo...

Adventures with the Russell Clan. Sunday, January 8, 2012. We called her "Sparkly" as a toddler. She adds charm and twinkle to every situation. And now she has some twinkle of her own. And those sparkly pink earrings only add to her charm. She looks more and more like Mckenna every day- especially in this picture. Love the earrings! January 10, 2012 at 1:51 PM. While certainly not the best movie ever made, it is a good story with some laugh out loud funny parts and a quality message. Definitely worth seeing and discussing with teens and young adults.
