Mother of the bride. Thursday, April 2, 2009. Girls Just Want to Have Fun. Friday night’s dinner was in a pub, and Sarah explained to the other girls that she couldn’t drink a lot. If she did, then for the rest of the weekend she would be vomiting. Period. But the other girls wanted to do shots. So the waiter kept bringing over shots. Mother of the bride. Tuesday, March 24, 2009. We are less than a month from lift off, that is to say, until the big day. Sarah told me this week over the phone that she didn't want the year to be over, that since we started this whole wedding process that she's had a great time planning and looking forward to the whole thing. Mother of the bride. Monday, April 13, 2009. Yesterday I drove 527 miles to Charleston like I was flying. I had the cruise control set on 80 all the way down I-95. The wedding week is here! Thursday, we have scheduled lunch with a couple of our friends who are arriving early in the morning, then Sarah and I pick up her dress and headpiece from the bridal shop, then we meet anyone who is in town for dinner at The Wild Olive, one of the best Italian restaurants on the East coast. Then, it is the big day!
