Wednesday, 19 November 2014. Bike finished and on its way to Le Havre. After many long days/nights and a lot of help from others the bike is done and ready for its journey to South America today. Big thanks to Mark at MD Restorations for the brilliant custom bash plate, John at Rally Raid Products for the custom navigation plates, Midwest Racing for the suspension and support, and Torque Racing for fitting the tanks, nav tower, and generally doing what they do. Have always been into cycling and have been fortunate enough to cycle form John O'Groats to Lands End twice. I will be going for a third in August 2014 as part of my final preparations going into the Dakar. Monday, 12 January 2015. Selçuk arrived back 1st but was out. The crash and night spent in the dunes had taken its toll on him. He was done. Herculean effort though. Koray got back after dark and Clayton is spending the night at CP3. His 3rd night sleeping away from the bivouac. Rest day and my last day at the Dakar. Clayton arrived around 2.00pm and said he had a great sleep away from the generators and noise of the bivouac. Out of the 9 team riders that started, just 5 remain.

Monday, 27 October 2014. Merzouga Rally - Another great rally but my run of bad fortune continues. Arrived the day before and got in some dune training and all felt good.
