Here are a few pictures I took of the bike after I got it home:. Now this is what I call attention to detail. Notice how there aren't any loose wires, everything is wrapped and clipped into place. Ramblings of a Motorcycle Fanatic. Monday, March 3, 2008. On Thursday February 14. I had the second of two hardware removal surgeries, this one to remove the fibula plate and its 9 screws. I was back to lying on the couch with the leg up on pillows covered with ice packs for 4 days, then on crutches for another 9 days. On Wednesday the 27. Here are a couple of pics of what was removed. It looks rather wimpy compared to the hefty plate that held my tibia together. Labels: fibula hardware removal.

I was. Certain that I'd have to pay someone major bucks to custom-make a replacement for me. Well, as it turned out, the guy who bought all of the Bimota parts stock from the previous Bimota US importer found a brand-new BB1 rear fender in his pile of parts! And it didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
