Monday, February 9, 2009. Buzzards Mesquite Grand Prix. The Mesquite Grand Prix was the debut of the FAST Racing Team (Fathers and Sons Team Racing). We had 5 Dads and 7 Sons (and several supportive mothers) there to participate in the event. We had a great day with a lot of great results, but not without some of the challenges inherent in desert racing. Jimmy was in front of me, parked and watching as the rest of us dropped from the trail, down a 4' step and on. HOWEVER, I picked the left side of the trail and saw Jimmy flagging me "no! Sunday, August 10, 2008. USRA Round 4: Firebirds Hare Scrambles. I learned a valuable valuable lesson this race. A couple actually. Never go betwe. En races without a ride, (At Right: The first two experts.in a league of their own). And never do major upgrades or mechanical work right before a race either.specifically suspension upgrades. A bit of a debacle occurred after Rhino Rally. I opted not to install it before Sage Riders. While waiting for Paul to return with the suspension I had ample opportunity.
