Headlight Guards – MotoVentures
https://motoventures.wordpress.com/reviews-of-accessories-gear/headlight-guards
My Ventures on a Suzuki V-Strom Called Stallion. Reviews of Accessories & Gear. REASON FOR PURCHASE: Headlight Protection. I installed some of these on my old V-Strom after realizing that headlight units are expensive to replace if they crack. Years earlier, two rocks had cracked my Dad’s R1100RT headlight guard (but spared his headlights), so I was convinced that guards were a great idea. I used four pads for each side and they have not budged an inch after a few thousand miles! Enter your comment here.
Cramp Buster – MotoVentures
https://motoventures.wordpress.com/reviews-of-accessories-gear/cramp-buster
My Ventures on a Suzuki V-Strom Called Stallion. Reviews of Accessories & Gear. REASON FOR PURCHASE: Comfort. I had a Throttle Rocker on the BumbleBee and didn’t have good luck with it. In fact, two of them broke in 6 months. Since using this Cramp Buster, I’ve gone over 6,000 miles and it still works great! You should be able to pick them up from your local motorcycle store, or Revzilla. Installation took all of about 10 seconds! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. None of these reviews are sponsored or compensated in any way! REASON FOR PURCHASE: Safety and Visibility I am a firm believer in making yourself as visible as you possibly can while riding a motorcycle. That’s why I wear a high viz jacket and helmet, and that’s also why I purchased this set of Auxiliary lights! REASON FOR PURCHASE: Protectio...
Mirror Extenders – MotoVentures
https://motoventures.wordpress.com/reviews-of-accessories-gear/mirror-extenders
My Ventures on a Suzuki V-Strom Called Stallion. Reviews of Accessories & Gear. REASON FOR PURCHASE: Better Visibility and Safety. I had seen Rick’s Mirror Extenders. On the ADVRider forum and thought they were a pretty neat idea. I had read that they help reduce wind turbulence and also provide better visibility. I can happily attest that both of these are true! Rick and his wife Gloria make a great team! Installation was simple and quick! Instead of staring at my shoulders, I now have full visibility o...

My Ventures on a Suzuki V-Strom Called Stallion. Reviews of Accessories & Gear. BFC Group Ride – Around Pikes Peak. November 5, 2016. On the afternoon of Sunday, October 2, I helped organize a group ride for riders at my church. There were a total of 8 of us who went on a big circle around Pikes Peak. We headed down Hwy 115 to Canon City, up Skyline Drive, and then up Hwy 9 to High Park Road and back around to Woodland Park. The weather was fabulous and we had a great time! November 2, 2016. http://redlegsrides.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Happy New Year and 2014 in Pictures. Another year has come and gone, and with it, some changes in life and some changes in the stable. The moto-blogging world lost one of its pioneers when Bobskoot of Wet Coast Scootin. Passed away while driving with his loving wife Yvonne. We miss you Bob. Here's some of the pictures I used on the blog during 2014, I hope you like the video. Some stats for record. Total mileage ridden in 2014: 14,852. Miles broken down by motorcycle:. Yoshi...
A Redleg's Rides: September 2014
http://redlegsrides.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2014. 26-28SEP14: The Durango Weekend. This past weekend, I motored down with Scarlett, my 2014 URAL Patrol Sidecar Rig down to southwest Colorado and the town of Durango. The primary focus of this weekend was to get together with a couple of Army buddies and one of their wives, that I'd not see in decades. It was early morning by the time I approached the junction of US285 and US24, near Buena Vista. The sun was still low enough to cause the below shadow frame for the picture:.
A Redleg's Rides: Tire Rotation
http://redlegsrides.blogspot.com/2015/08/tire-rotation.html
Saturday, August 08, 2015. I'd notice the thread on my pusher tire starting to look a bit "thin". Measured it today and it was at 3/32" (2.38mm). Legal minimum, as I recall, is 2/32" (1.58 mm). Got almost 7000 (6984) kilometers from when I changed out the pusher to K37s back at the beginning of the year. Not bad. Saved myself a drive downtown where the moto shop is located with a onsite tire changing service, along with the fee of $25/tire or $50. I did break two of the rubber strips used to cover the sp...
A Redleg's Rides: February 2015
http://redlegsrides.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Scarlett, my 2014 URAL Patrol Sidecar Rig and I took advantage of a gorgeous day here in the Metro Denver area. Though the snow remains still covering grassy areas, the roads were just mostly wet to dry due to the bright sunshine we got today. More snow forecast for the next couple of days so we headed out during the lunch hour to run some errands. Fox Racing Comp 5 Shorty Boots. They're classified as ATV Boots, short version of the full-up MX boots used by dirt bike riders.
A Redleg's Rides: March 2015
http://redlegsrides.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 27, 2015. Foggy Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). I reached Palo Alto, CA and the home of my brother Carlos and his lovely wife Ling mid-afternoon yesterday, and reintroduced myself to their sons as its been years since I last saw them. Their names are Evan and Nathan and Nathan was but a baby then. After waking at 5AM PST this morning, did some work till 8AM and then it was time for a short break so my nephews could ride in Scarlett's sidecar and be taken to the nearby elementary school. The tr...
A Redleg's Rides: January 2015
http://redlegsrides.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 31, 2015. Bison at the Arsenal. An overcast and somewhat cold day here in Metro Denver, there's perhaps an inch (if we're lucky) of snow forecast for overnight and the weather clouds have blocked most of the views of the mountains. It would spit snow flakes on and off the rest of the morning. I headed east a bit and took Quebec street north towards the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge Area. This place used to be where munitions and nuclear warhead components were made back in ...

Sunday, April 26, 2015. MOAB 2015 - Day 2 and 3. Day Two, Thursday, not much to post on, it was a mostly full day of work and some maintenance on Scarlett. The highlight of the day, it turns out, was also the first event of the day. Rising early and riding out with Tim L. and Ed aka Mundo Bravo riding as monkey in my rig to go catch the sunrise. We ended up at the La Sal View Point where one can see the Monitor and Merrimac Monument rock formations. Tim L. concentrated on the monuments:. Lizzie and Dave S.

Motoventurers: honeymoon world motorcycle adventure
Motoventurers: honeymoon world motorcycle adventure. Blown away by Washington State. June 7th, 2011. Which made us laugh firstly, because it reminded us that we were in a country where so many people have guns, and secondly, because, as we were quick to point out, they’d still have been seriously outgunned! We said our goodbyes, but not before they proudly recommended some must-see places along our route. They’ll be in the bathroom. Sleeping arrangements? Two luxury cabins. TV? Yes, four of them actually...

Reviews of Accessories & Gear. My Ventures on a Suzuki V-Strom Called Stallion. Making Plans For A Trip. August 17, 2015. After several emails and phone calls to the seller (who lives in Oklahoma), we made an agreement and I began making plans to drive down and trailer the bike home! My first task was getting my utility trailer ready to safely transport the Stallion back, so a quick trip to Harbor Freight led me to this Wheel Chock.
