I was sad to leave the coast, the costeños (people who live there) are great and I made a lot of friends, but I`d been there a month and it was high time to travel into the interior, into paisa territory. Paisas is the term given to residents of Antioquia, the state of which Medellin is the capital. Paisas are said to be very friendly, even by Colombian standards.
