Michael Abayomi: February 2015

Monday, 23 February 2015. The 87th Academy Awards. Overall, I was a bit disappointed that Boyhood didn't win Best Picture, and that Wes Anderson didn't win Best Original Screenplay for The Grand Budapest Hotel. The ceremony was brought to an ...

If so, why was he not discussing it, or at least letting Balthazar in on it? His own father’s shadow. In Cotton’s case, his own. Dust, in fact, had nothing to say to Cotton, but he wanted to. Cotton could tell, and he could see that Dust was waiting, although for what Cotton could only guess, perhaps for Cotton himself to be ready. What did he need to do? It was stil...

So without further ado, I present one of my favorite, underrated movies. I have chosen to highlight Guillermo Del Toro's 1997 sci-fi/horror film, Mimic. Why? But like most B...
