Parish and Historical Records. At the time of the Roman invasion in AD43, Cæsar recorded the various tribes in Briton. Of concern to us are the two tribes which met around what is now the border between Northamptonshire and that of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. On the Northants side were the Coritani, whilst on the other side were the Catyeuclina. This would indicate that the area in which Moulsoe now stands was probably occupied by the Catyeuclina . Parish and Historical Records. This village is small and unobtrusive and nestles amid trees atop a small tump of land right next to junction 14 of the M1. The existence of the village is confirmed in the Domesday book, though no-one knows when the village was first settled. Speculation regarding its important position as the centre of a Hundred would lend itself to the village being an important, and therefore long standing settlement. 1650 - 1659 Baptisms. 1660 - 1669 Baptisms.
