Kindred Blessings: The First 7 Weeks...
http://kindredblessings.blogspot.com/2011/10/first-7-weeks.html
Monday, October 3, 2011. The First 7 Weeks. It seems like I am reminded daily how fast time goes by. Some days it seems like I should be teaching a 10 and 12 year olds. When in reality I'm teaching a 14 and (almost) 16 year old. Where did time go? I am so, so thankful to God that I have been able to homeschool. Peter and Anne. I'm also thankful that both of my kids enjoy being homeschooled. The fact that they want to be learning at home warms my heart! Anne is also in the play. She's Mawgrim.

Getting to Know You. Jack gets acquainted with Nicholas and Matthew. We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life, but those who make their journey home across time and miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands. -Unknown. Kindred Blessings: September 2009
http://kindredblessings.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 14, 2009. Today it feels as if we're starting the school year over. I was, let's say, a little distracted during the last week and a half! I wanted to put that extra load of homeschool. Guilt on myself this morning (you know.the "I'm not doing enough" guilt), but how could I not be distracted when I was sitting by my dear Grandmother watching her fade away? It was a blessing to be able to do this, but it was very, very hard. I find it remarkable that even with my sense of distraction.

The Farmer Family: Roll-Over!
http://katiefarmer23.blogspot.com/2009/09/roll-over.html
Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Today Elizabeth rolled over for the first time! She's been testing the waters for quite some time, twisting the upper half of her body for at least a month and for about a week now finally was able to kick her legs over! She was not quite able to roll over her shoulder to fully do it. until today! She's done it at least a dozen times since, and seems to cry or scream half the time. I roll her back on her back and soothe her, only for her to roll over again and cry!

The Farmer Family: 6 Month Checkup
http://katiefarmer23.blogspot.com/2009/08/6-month-checkup.html
Tuesday, August 11, 2009. Today Elizabeth went for her 6 Month checkup and to get her shots. We don't like getting our shots, as you can imagine. She did so well though, and didn't even cry for the first one! Well, let's just say that ear plugs would have been appropriate. My little girl's got great lungs. She did get her Tweety Bird Bandaids again this time, so it was all good. She now weighs 17 lbs. 11.5 oz. and is 26 inches tall! Best $4 bucks we ever spent! Hope to see our final addition this weekend!

The Farmer Family: 8 Month Checkup
http://katiefarmer23.blogspot.com/2009/10/8-month-checkup.html
Thursday, October 15, 2009. Elizabeth had her 8 month checkup today. She is now 19 lbs. 11 oz. and 27.5 inches long. She is growing so fast. She also had her first flu shot today and didn't cry at all. She also had her blood drawn where they squeezed and squeezed her finger and she started to give the pouty lip, but again never cried. What a trooper she is! Can't wait to see how she does with the changes. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. A Year of CrockPotting.

The Farmer Family: The 4th of July
http://katiefarmer23.blogspot.com/2009/07/4th-of-july.html
Saturday, July 4, 2009. The 4th of July. For the Fourth of July, Ken and I took Elizabeth to the Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk and Himmarshee Park. This is the first place Ken and I went to when we first started dating, so it was nice to go back with the baby for the first time. We enjoyed lunch at the Riverwalk, then walked up and down the water in Himmarshee all the way to the Broward Center. Elizabeth did very well all decked out in her Fourth of July duds and bow I made her. I am married and have two bea...

The Farmer Family: First Sweet Potato
http://katiefarmer23.blogspot.com/2009/07/elizabeths-first-sweet-potato.html
Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Today we had our first taste of real food - Sweet Potatoes. Elizabeth looks less than enthusiastic about taking this plunge, but I assure you. she loves her food. I think she still has more of a love affair with her bottle at this point, but that might change soon because let's face it - I'm a darn good cook, right! So far I have made sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, bananas, and mangos. Now back to the Sweet Potatoes. Here we have a partial smile. A smirk, maybe? I am marri...
