After a couple of weeks away, I have many adventures in cooking, camping, moving, and music to post here, but I’ll start with this one. 1 ½ pounds blackberries (maybe around 4 cups….wild are best). 1 ½ cup Self Rising Flour. 1 ½ cup Sugar. 1 ½ cup Milk. 1 Stick (half cup) Butter. As promised, I am back today with pictures and recipes from last night's kitchen adventures. I made two great dishes from the food that J and L gave us over the weekend, and I've chronicled them below:. The blackberries were mostly for garnish, but also tasted good! Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola Cheese and a Blackberry-Wine Reduction.

We spent the weekend with friends of Lane’s in Vermont. The number one thing I’ve learned about graduate school and this blog: Graduate school is not conducive to writing a cooking blog. Seems pretty obvious, right? I think I just had higher expectations for myself, but I should have known that school demands outweigh almost all other demands.
