Today I started my New Years resolution. I'm training for a 5k and yes I said a 5k. Should have lied and said a marathon. I'm training through this great program called couch to 5k. Each time I have come on here to update this thing she keeps kicking me off Blogger and I lose my content for the same post over and over again so once again my apologies for not keeping you updated. So where did I leave off. We went to lunch at one of our favorite places in town, The Crimson Moon. Doesn't that smile just melt your heart? This was on the way to the Moon. Caleb and I recently visited the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Here's some pictures from our trip. We had a great time! Caleb playing biologist and inspecting the cactus. I don't know if you are like me but I have felt lately like I've been taken over and am easily distracted by the world wide web. My default is to run straight to Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, Etsy, Pinterest, my blog, and other blogs. He had some fun folk art. He handmade all those bowls in the background. Musicians would hop around to each little group sitting around and would just join in!

Because, often when I am in the kitchen making dinner or straightening the house I think about how fun it is to "play house". Then I remember, "I'm not playing house, I'm actually married! For us it means being committed to a few hungry Christian students, doing life with them, walking through trials with them, helping them to have biblical perspective, and teaching them to love others well and share Christ with the people around them. Also, it means showing them that we don't have it all together spiritually. we are horrible screw ups in need of God's grace. You can pray that God would use us to lead these students into deeper intimacy with Christ.

Saturday, August 13, 2011. It's official. I have finally jumped on the bandwagon for making my own laundry detergent. I was so skeptical at first, but after doing it. I really love it! It was really easy, so cheap and smells great. I even calculated the difference between buying name-brand and making this detergent. Name-brand detergent = $12.50 for 64 loads.
