Put patients at ease and make them feel comfortable with you. Touching a patient makes them human. Smile and laugh a lot. Tears are appropriate at times. Wednesday, August 24, 2011. When my grandparents retired to Florida, my mom, dad, and sister followed. When I came along, Dad's love of fishing was already established. I didn't have a chance. I was Dad's designated fishing buddy. Since we were financially challenged, the fish he caught fed us every other night. There was no "catch and release". Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Everyone is talking about the television show "Hoarders". I can identify and many of you can too. Just admit it. At Halloween as children, we were all hoarders. I would eat my candy sparingly, hiding it from my parents and trading it strategicly as to make it last as long as possible. Yes, I'm a fabric hoarder but as I tell my husband, it could be worse.
