Monday, November 22, 2010. A little taste of Kansas in the northwest! Today we have snow! Real snow.probably the most we'll have all winter. Instead of driving on the roads with inexperienced winter weather drivers, I'm choosing to work from home today which has its perks. It means the dogs can go outside regularly and I can stay in my awesome flannel pajamas until 4pm (which I fully intend to do.). But Roger's just a young doggie dude. Saturday, March 5, 2011. Thank God for Moms. The last couple days were a little more awful than I expected b/c on top of recovering from surgery I got the flu. Not good! I couldn't eat anything without being nauseous 30 minutes after and had to sleep most of the day. This morning my mom washed my hair for me b/c it was gross after 4 days of no shower. Daniel has a weird work schedule this weekend so he's not able to be around to help all the time. So long story short, my mother rocks. Talk about bad timi...

I have a confession. I am not perfect. This (humbling) fact has been made perhaps even more clear after 11 months of living with my significant other (read domestic partner, or DP). I've lived with a fair share of roommates - and I even lived with my parents post-college graduation - and still I was able to keep my issues to myself, my emotions hidden (for the most part) and my skeletons safely in my closet. Introducing our family's newest grad. After 8 humbling (read embarrassing) weeks of storming through the front door at PetSmart with a wild, out-of-control, limbs-flying, tongue panting, stare-warranting Marley look-alike.Brooklyn has officially graduated from puppy class.
