Mountain View Farm was first established as a farm in the 1700s and then actively run as both a farm and boarding house by Lena and William Durfee in the 1900s. The original farmhouse still stands next door to us. Today we embrace the rich history of this land (and our ancestry) and continue to actively grow an abundance of fresh vegetables for local markets. Fresh From the Field. At Mountain View Farm we believe that sunshine, good soil, and happy cows make for delicious farmstead cheeses. Our beautiful 250 acre dairy farm currently houses around 200 cows (Jersey, Holstein, and cross-bred) which we milk twice daily. We are a year round farming operation. Our cows are out on pasture-rotationally grazed and receive non-GMO feeds. 8203;We craft raw milk, artisan cheeses that are aged 60 days as well as fresh, pasteurized products.
