We are very pleased to use these ewes as the foundation of our registered flock. We like the white dorper/katahdin X as we find the katahdin offers excellent milk and mothering while maintaining good shedding traits. With the help of 2 Border Collies, 1 Maremma LGD (livestock guardian dog) and 2 puppies in training, we manage a flock of 110 ewes and 40 replacements. In our flock we breed for superior mothering, lambing ease, complete shedding traits, and rapid growth in the lambs.
