Horray… Jason Coleman has made it to Base Camp (17,500 feet) and then a small team broke off and have gone one step further to Kala Patthar at 18,500 feet! He said it took them about 3.5hrs to get from Base Camp up to Kala Patthar, because of the sheer reaction to altitude, and took them about 45mins to walk back down! March 31st, 2012.

We trekked from base camp to phereshe yesterday, which had taken us three days to climb! It was freezing cold at base camp and I don’t think I’ve thawed out yet.
