Monday, April 19, 2010. I had the chance to go to a soccer match a few days ago. It was at the top of my list of things I wanted to do before I left here. It did not disappoint! The game was between 2 in-town rivals, so the atmosphere was electric. So much fun! The excitement and enthusiasm were contagious. Waiting for the game to start. Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Honor, a donkey, and my brother. For a while now, taxi rides have been pretty run of the mill. Get in, tell my destination, get out, pay. Rinse and repeat. Well, this past week has provided some awesome taxi stories. This was followed by him dancing and singing to his radio and telling jokes all the way home. Such a fun ride. If only they were all like Ashraf. 2 We'll call him Homar. This guy could take a lesson from Ashraf. Do you want to drive or not? Lining up to play a game.

Saturday, October 16, 2010. This post is brought to you by the number 2. Two years ago today, I landed here to start a new life overseas. I can't believe it. Time really does fly. My how I have changed, the things I have seen, learned, and experienced. It has been a phenomenal ride. One that I will never forget. Two days from now, I will be back in America. I feel like it will all seem like a dream. Did I really do that? Did I really live in Egypt for two years? I can't wait to see what is next.

I always feel like a shady deal is going down when I'm holding that much money. My roommate felt like a gangsta. I stack my money, lay low, and chill.". Monday, January 4, 2010. Thursday, August 26, 2010. Is this really my life? So, I went into a shop the other day, browsing, minding my own business and this guy walks by and says, "Hey." I responded in kind, "Hey." A few minutes later he approaches me, and in perfect English starts up a conversation. I could tell he wasn't from here, but also not American. Here's how it went down. Guy: So do you think this soap will work out for me? Me: You mean the brand? Yeah, sure. I bet it will be fine. (weird question, right?

Saturday, May 1, 2010. When I was a kid, I always had a reason to look forward to Saturday mornings- sleeping in, watching cartoons, or having a soccer game. Now, I get to hang out with these kiddos every Saturday morning tutoring English. They are so much fun! This group would rather play than study- and that's OK with me!
