Mike Nichols, o excelente realizador de coisas tão boas e injustamente esquecidas como a série "Angels in America" dirige esta adaptação de uma peça de teatro homónima que, conforme se nota desde logo, tresanda a teatralidade por todos os poros, o que não é necessariamente uma coisa má, principalmente quando se tem um conjunto de 4 actores notáveis a fazerem coisas, ao longo do filme, que de notável têm muito pouco. 2 Days In Paris.

Jack Sparrow é o filho predilecto de Johnny Depp. Vê-se isso em cada gesto, em cada trejeito, na forma trabalhadamente desajeitada, no limite do efeminado, de caminhar e de correr. É um estupendo trabalho de composição de um personagem e que contribui, de sobremaneira, para levar de arrasto um filme.
