Tuesday, May 27, 2008. An Enemy of the People 1966. Apparently, my friends at Netflix thought I would enjoy this play. I couldn't get through 5 minutes of this drudge fest. It looks like somebody took their video camera out in their living room and taped a kinescope playing on their tv. And then let the tape sit outside in the back yard during a hail storm. Wednesday, August 06, 2008. All the King's Men 1949. This popped up on my TIVO (probably during an ice cream OD) so I watched it.for no other reason than Broderick Crawford is the star. Wow. Broderick Crawford is brilliant as Willie Stark, a politician who speaks for the common man and rises to the become governor. Wednesday, August 20, 2008. This is a documentary about suicides on the Golden Gate Bridge. The first ten minutes pulls you in. You can't look away. They interview friends and family members of people who have committed suicide. Maybe because they seem to have worked through their issues about the suicides, it's not so hard for us, as the audience to witness. It's not sentimental.
