Bermuda: the calm before the storm?
http://movingtobermuda.blogspot.com/2007/09/calm-before-storm.html
Some thoughts and reflections on having moved to Bermuda. Saturday, September 29, 2007. The calm before the storm? There's been an uncomfortable density of rat-related blog entries. And I'm also glad to be back in Bermuda. This is where we live now. For how long? God knows. (literally). Besides seeing friends, and spending a few pounds, I also briefly attended a church convention/synode/conference session. This will be (hopefully) the only time that I attend two of these things within the same month.
Bermuda: April 2007
http://movingtobermuda.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Some thoughts and reflections on having moved to Bermuda. Sunday, April 08, 2007. Easter in the East. Actually, I'm almost too late for that. It's Sunday evening, and Easter is almost over. That means it's the beginning of April. Time is still flying. We're on Summertime. It's officially Spring. And the kids are on weeklong Easter holidays (vacation). And what else is new? It seems that the temperature in England is similar to Bermuda, at least on paper. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Easter in the East.
Bermuda: December 2007
http://movingtobermuda.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Some thoughts and reflections on having moved to Bermuda. Monday, December 24, 2007. It's around Xmas, and I am in a bedroom, with all the windows open, and I'm sweating! That's because we went to see my in-laws in Jamaica. Not that Bermuda is not nice in the winter, just a little damp. But the temperatures in Jamaica are far FAR better. I mean 30C! And SUNSHINE that makes you feel like summer. And then there is the driving experience. In Bermuda it's 35 kmh. In JA, well. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
Bermuda: June 2008
http://movingtobermuda.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Some thoughts and reflections on having moved to Bermuda. Tuesday, June 03, 2008. I don't want to sound like the campaign of a well-known presidential candidate. So I (unlike the candidate) call it a day. I haven't updated the blog for ages. Time to bow out. (for now. maybe I'll be back in four years time LOL). Meanwhile, over at my other blog. PS: thanks for reading,. PPS: the final big news of our move to Bermuda: since April we've got a car! Gas is $2/litre. and we're broke LOLOL).

There’s more to life than meets the eye. White like Me not! From Matt Morris Films. Posted 13 February 12 by Stefan. Today was Saturday (sabbath), my main “work” day, busy with events and usually filled with people, including invites to lunches…and my fledgling herbivore status was briefly challenged and compromised by half (! A salmon cake that one of the church members had baked and whose hospitality I felt was more important at that moment than sticking strictly to ‘plant-based’. So today was day 1.

There’s more to life than meets the eye. White like Me not! Remarks by U.S. Atty. Gen. Eric Holder at the Department of Justice marking Black History Month, Feb. 18:. It is an issue we have never been at ease with, and given our nation’s history this is in some ways understandable. And yet, if we are to make progress in this area we must feel comfortable enough with one another, and tolerant enough of each other, to have frank conversations about the racial matters that continue to divide us. We commemor...
Home?! | Stefan's Blog
https://schnull.wordpress.com/2010/04/09/home
There’s more to life than meets the eye. White like Me not! Island is not my home, I’m just a passing through… or so I believe the song goes. Due to Bermuda’s (lack of) size, non-Bermudian workers, like myself, can only stay for a limited time how long has been the subject of debates. But one day, we. However, until that day, we actually. Here And that creates an interesting conundrum. What, or where, is “home”? Is home where one was born? Does residency count as a home? That place as well? You are comme...

Flabbergasting discrepancy… | Stefan's Blog
https://schnull.wordpress.com/2010/11/16/flabbergasting-discrepancy
There’s more to life than meets the eye. White like Me not! I was asked to prepare a slide presentation of various countries and their flags, for a church parade of nations. Part of this preparation has been to jot down some information about the various countries, and I discovered a rather flabbergasting discrepancy. How can it be that at the highest level of our church Europe is represented numerically much stronger than the much more populous African continent? Disclaimer: I gathered numbers from the ...
Blogging from my phone | Stefan's Blog
https://schnull.wordpress.com/2010/07/23/blogging-from-my-phone
There’s more to life than meets the eye. White like Me not! Blogging from my phone. So I got a new phone. And just that might be worth blogging about. But with this phone comes access to a world apps. (No, it’s not a fruit phone, but the other… little green robot). So here I am, getting to grips with the new virtual keyboard. My old phone (another fruit) had physical buttons…. If/when I’m getting good at typing, I just might post some more, real, thoughts. Posted 23 July 10 by Stefan. White like Me not!
White like Me—not! | Stefan's Blog

There’s more to life than meets the eye. White like Me not! White like Me not! This is actually meant to be an article. I wrote it sometime last year Dec. EG White was an prominent early Seventh-day Adventist, who is believed to have received prophetic messages from God, and who was a prolific author.). W]hy is [Jesus] always portrayed […] as a white man? 8230;] [I]f you have to represent these folks for some reason, why not make them black? What does that say, I asked, about privilege? There’s more to life than meets the eye. White like Me not! I am somewhat shocked to read about the reasons behind this beauty contest. Why would people need to change the colour of their skin? Have old European beauty norms survived this long? But then again, why do we (white) Europeans like to throw our pale bodies onto the beach as soon as there is a bit of sunshine? Posted 20 July 09 by Stefan. A Church of Cowards? How often have we had the painful conversation about past (! Racism in the church?
