Saturday, November 1, 2008. We spent Halloween going to a party, trunk or treat, and movie night. We decided to skip the traditional door to door trick or treating for a movie and passing out candy at home. Our neighborhood was pretty dark and the kids already had WAY TOO MUCH CANDY. Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Saturday, I took Ashley and Audrey to the local "carnival" at the recreation center. It was fun they had bouncers, cake walks, lots of game booths, and face painting (Ashley and Audrey's favorite). We had a good time. Here are some pictures of their faces. Too CUTE! John can't even stop working for Thanksgiving, but we are glad he came along. My cousin's husband Denis and he think so much alike, both ran to 7-eleven across the street during Thanksgiving dinner for a big gulp! My cousin Donita and Lauren. (Uncle Don and Mom in background). Friday, August 15, 2008. It's hard for me to believe that in a couple of weeks Ashley's will be baptized. It seems like she was just my little baby. She has grown into quite the little helper. She is always helping with the baby and always wants to be Audrey's teacher. We are very proud of her. Thursday, August 7, 2008. Heather and Mel's Wedding. The wedding was BEAUTIFUL! Monday, January 26, 2009. My cousin Richard Hafen passed away this Saturday, very unexpectedly of a heart attack. He was 2 years younger than my husband. Richard was always lots of fun. You will notice he looks a lot like Santa in the post below. I will miss him very much and wish I would have stopped to play games with him at Thanksgiving instead of cleaning up! Top Ten Great things about my Dad: (not necessarily in order). 9 Would listen to me complain - without complaining. 8 Liked Big Band Music. 7 Liked to Dance. 6 Had a great garden and a huge lawn. Grandpa's house is better than the park. 5 Always said what was on his mind. 3 Made AWESOME dutch oven potatoes. 2 Giddy up old horsey.
