Mark Moxon's Travel Writing. To play the media you will need to either update your browser to a recent version or update your Flash plugin. Outside the Cyprus Ski Club hut on a distinctly wintry Mt Olympos. It has to rate as one of the strangest places to find a ski run, but Mt Olympos. Esque isolation of our stay in Troodos. It's amazing to think that Cyprus gets snow like this. Radar dome, but as the peak of Mt Olympos is out of bounds to anyone not conditioned to react to someone screaming 'Shee-un!
Agia Napa - Cyprus - Mark Moxon's Travel Writing
https://www.moxon.net/cyprus/agia_napa.html
Mark Moxon's Travel Writing. Agia Napa beach might be smothered in seaweed in the off-season, but you can still see its potential. It didn't matter to us that Agia Napa. The Dèus Bar, which proudly boasts 'EastEnders' as one of its attraction. And, of course, kebab. Relaxing on the beach at Agia Napa. If the summer is Agia Napa's Saturday night, then the winter is most definitely its Sunday morning. The whole place is asleep, and although there are signs of life, they're hard to spot, and they're a m...
Île de Gorée - Senegal - Mark Moxon's Travel Writing
https://www.moxon.net/senegal/ile_de_goree.html
Mark Moxon's Travel Writing. Senegal: Île de Gorée. De Gorée is home to colonial architecture and - if you believe the local stories - an old slave house. Is surprising for its lack of obviously colonial architecture, but it's more than made up for by the delights of Île de Gorée. If Dakar were a western city, Île de Gorée. Looking over the red roofs of Gorée. The thing that strikes me most is how similar Île de Gorée. La Maison des Esclaves is Île. De Gorée's main tourist attraction. Gorée reeks ...

http://www.tubewalker.com//highlights/favourite_tube_stations.html
Tubewalker: The Tube, on Foot. Tubewalk Highlights: My Favourite Tube Stations. When I set out on my tubewalk, I didn't realise just how much I would grow to love the architecture of the Tube stations I'd be visiting en route. I knew about the architectural achievements along the Jubilee line extension, such as Canary Wharf and Canada Water, but I had no idea I'd fall for the buildings of Charles Holden, Leslie Green, Harry Bell Measures et al. Tucked away in the northeastern corner of the Piccadilly line.

http://www.tubewalker.com//highlights/walking_tube_history.html
Tubewalker: The Tube, on Foot. Tubewalk Highlights: Walking Through Tube History. A quick note on the East London line. When I walked the Tube, the East London line was closed and being re-engineered as part of the London Overground, but because London Underground was running a bus replacement service, this meant the East London line was technically still part of the Tube, and would be until it re-opened. So I walked it. and I'm glad I did.). Opened as the Metropolitan Railway. New Cross Gate to Wapping.
