You will not need a 4x4 vehicle to get there. Any normal sedan motorcar can make the journey with ease. The road from the border to Praia De Xai Xai is tarred. It is only from the Praia to Endless Horizons, some 3 kms, that you will be travelling on a dirt road and this can be traversed without any real difficulty. Endless Horizons is approximately 800kms from Johannesburg. Expect to take about 9 hours to get there, taking into account the time needed to get through the border post, toll gates, etc.
