ExQM - International PhD Programme of Excellence. How to find us. In 2005 the Bavarian government launched an elite network with another 11 schools of excellence in all fields. One of them, ExQM, is a joint PhD school by the two Munich Universities together with the Max-Planck-Institute of Quantum Optics, three leading research institutions in Europe. On the Campus in Garching, just a few yards off, there is another ENB excellence programme in the mathematics faculty of TU-Munich: TopMath.
