fancyfootballs: Nehemiah
http://fancyfootballs.blogspot.com/2013/07/nehemiah.html
Monday, July 29, 2013. Last night my mom (know by her grandchildren as "Gaga"), took Nehemiah out to her car to get him a piece of gum. While out at the car they see Ruthie, our cat, laying in the grass. My mom walks over to her and says, "Do you want to be petted Ruthie? Nehemiah, who is standing nearby, says in his deep boy voice, "Her don't talk, Gaga.". My mom laughed and reached out to greet and pet her. Nehemiah said again, "Her don't talk.". 3 year olds rule. fancyfootballs: June 2013
http://fancyfootballs.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 26, 2013. A day in the life. Someone once told me that the minutes of parenthood feel like years and the years feel like minutes. They are so right. No matter how much you take in every single day, squeezing their little faces in the palm of your hands, and telling them you love them over tickles and kisses-the day to day can be exhausting and yet the years just keep on passing by. Some of my everyday's are made up from moments like these:. This is how I roll at Costco. Our 4th to learn h...

fancyfootballs: Crumbs
http://fancyfootballs.blogspot.com/2011/01/crumbs.html
Tuesday, January 25, 2011. I move fast, but not as fast as my determined little pistol. I would sweep the leftovers away from her and she would instantly follow. I would sweep them into a pile and she would ransack it. I would try to get them into the dust pan and she would grab them from out of the pan. Finally, feeling over-challenged and out-matched, I said to her,. Did I just say, Don't want that? Or the obvious, "No, no," but I didn't. All I said was "Don't want that.". The width and length and dept...

fancyfootballs: Bring It On...one year later
http://fancyfootballs.blogspot.com/2010/05/bring-it-onone-year-later.html
Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Bring It On.one year later. There are 3 rules to this practice and race: 1) No crying and/or whining 2) No stopping and 3) No pushing each other (they jockey for position and box each other out-good 'old healthy sibling rivalry) . If you'll remember last year around this time, Emma was the throws of several competitions, all of which she was more interested about ribbon colors and styles than the actual opportunity to win. Check here. For a trip down memory lane. The goal- A medal.

fancyfootballs: May 2013
http://fancyfootballs.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 31, 2013. The end of a chapter. Today Emma and Addie had their last day of school. Addie will be in elementary school for two more years, but for Emma, today was her last day. She moves onto Middle School next year. She is excited, ready, has an attitude of enthusiasm, and healthy curiosity. Her dad and I are all of those things too, just add in a bit of melancholy and tiny bit of apprehension. At lunch break. She is a special kid and so special to us. We are proud of you Emma. I am a mom of ...

fancyfootballs: Quiet Please
http://fancyfootballs.blogspot.com/2013/02/quiet-please.html
Tuesday, February 12, 2013. There is one thing candy and Coca-cola manufacturers need to figure out:. How to create a product that makes no noise when you open it. Another thing, I can't open a bag of M&M's without getting assaulted or any candy wrapper for that matter. Trying to open Sweeet Tarts in the middle of a long car ride, quickly becomes the closest thing my husband and I will ever do to a covert operation. Maybe vegetable growers should take note:.
