I opted to take my parents to my place on the bus, so they would have a cool view of Tokyo. Here's a photo shot from the bus. They seems interested by the city as they tried not to fall asleep. By the time we got near my place, it was getting dark. The neon lights must've been shocking compared to small-town Canada! Bikes are a popular thing here.

September 12, 2005. So on Saturday evening, my buddy Alain and myself decided to check out Daegu. Daegu is a major city that's a little over an hour northeast of Ulsan on the bus. Daegu is a city of around 2.5 million people, so it's quite a bit larger than Ulsan. It definetely felt more cosmopolitan (well, by Korean standards anyway). From what I saw, people seemed to dress a little more stylish. As well, people seemed to look somewhat different. A picture of okonomiyaki that I stole from a random site.

July 16, 2005. What I ate for supper on Saturday. This is my spicy ramyeon noodle dish. Rhiannon, you can make this at home for mum and dad and eat just like I do in Korea. You'll be eating Blake-style Korean food! First, I chop up part of a zucchini and a green pepper and begin to fry them. Then I add some baby tomatos. They taste good when they're hot and fried. Third, I fried the ramyeon noodles in with the veggies for extra texture. If desired, I also add chicken, tuna or tofu. My tribute to Mike.
