Friday, October 31, 2014. Charles Pettee, Bluegrass Extraordinaire. In my classroom we listen to a wide variety of musical genres. We use polka in math, African tribal during art, Asian sitar during writing, as well as jazz, swing, salsa just to name a few more! The kids favorite genre though. bluegrass. Thoughts from deep within my mind! Wednesday, May 9, 2012. A few months ago while at a state wide reading conference, I was invited to join a group of educators called Smile Scholars. The group is made up of volunteers who write product reviews for a national educational supplier called Smile Makers. After the review is finished, I submit it to the marketing department and it is used in the catalog along with my picture. Pretty cool huh? There are all kinds of little perks along the way too!
