A message from Touth Koeun. The International Day of the Midwife is celebrated on 5 May each year to highlight the essential role midwives play in reducing maternal and newborn deaths and disabilities. So we would like to recognise and thank the 111 midwives who are participating in our training, coaching and mentoring scheme for their commitment to saving the lives of women and children and for contributing to the improvement of the quality of life in the communities they serve. A message from Touth Koeun. Move over TBAs, make room for the doulas. Or maybe not. I have enjoyed two interesting presentations in the last few days. I have to admit that before the presentation I was not sure what a doula can do that could not be done by a midwife or traditional birth attendant. You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0. Move over T...
