What is a Muddler? Caring for your muddler. Contact Mr. Muddler. We make our muddlers 11" tall. We feel this gives the bartender plenty of "hand room" above the pint glass. We have also incorporated a pommel, to help promote hand comfort. As all the muddlers are made of wood and individually hand turned, no two muddlers will be exactly alike. We do not put a "finish" on our muddlers. All muddlers are sanded smooth then burnished with their own wood shavings.

And that is how muddling started. A muddler is a bartender's tool, used to "muddle" or make a mash of fruits, herbs, and/or spices in the bottom of a glass to release their flavor.
